Job Overview:

NERA Economic Consulting is pleased to offer its Summer Internship Program for 2024. This program provides undergraduate and graduate students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in economic consulting. Interns will work on challenging projects alongside experienced professionals, contributing to client engagements and expanding their skills and knowledge in economics and related fields.

Job Roles:

Interns will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across different practice areas, including:

  • Economic analysis and modeling
  • Data analysis and interpretation
  • Research and literature reviews
  • Client presentations and communication
  • Assistance with case preparation and documentation
  • Collaborating with project teams to deliver high-quality solutions to clients

Education Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited institution
  • Pursuing a degree in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, or a related field
  • Must have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies by the start of the internship

Experience Requirements:

  • Previous internship experience in economics, finance, or consulting is preferred but not required
  • Strong academic record with coursework in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and statistics
  • Familiarity with statistical software such as Stata, R, or Python is a plus
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
